Financial Analyst-Multiple Positions & HR Consulting

The Client

A start-up investment capital management firm located on the west coast of the US with three employees.  Tripled in growth in the last three years with rock-solid investors and excellent performance.

 

The Challenge

Having excellent growth and a requirement to maintain performance for investors, the founder needed overall HR organizational consulting and scaling strategies.  The client sought two associate-level financial analysts with rigorous screening processes to gauge skillset and overall cultural fit.

 

The Strategy

RTB & Associates developed a functional competency HR model for the scale of the organization.  RTB partnered with the founder on designing the overall recruitment and vetting process along with creating candidate profiles to fill in gaps of financial model development processes. The ideal candidate was required to have proven financial analysis and modeling experience, complete a monitored financial calculation exercise along with a 16-hour modeling project.  RTB developed a pipeline of candidates through networking, job posts, sourcing, and outreach to targeted profiles. Knowing the high expectations of the client and particular behavioral traits of the position, consistent vetting of viable candidates was an absolute.

 

The Result

RTB & Associates partnered with the client to place two strong financial analysts with forensic accounting, CFA, and hedge fund experience.  Our candidates had three and seven years of experience and had the stamina to pass the multiple step vetting, exercise, project, and interview process.
